The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be. Job Overview The Director of Property Management will oversee the day-to-day operations of the CAPC Property Management department and staff. The Director of Property Management is primarily responsible for the operations, reporting, and coordination and management of all third-party vendors, providing maintenance and rehab services. Responsibilities

  • Creates and implements a company property management manual that establishes standardized policies and procedures and best practices applicable to each project and the organization.
  • Ensures that all employee training needs are assessed, and necessary training programs are designed and implemented to meet staff requirements.
  • Through continuous periodic property visits/property inspections and quarterly review meetings, assesses and communicates property manager performance against Strategic Business Plan goals.
  • Facilitates clear and concise communication by property managers directly to asset management and senior management, and vice versa.
  • Assists and supports firm marketing efforts and asset managers and senior managers in effectively communicating with Company's current and prospective partners/tenants.
  • Assists the Creative/Development managers in the establishment of project parameters, design scope, and capital authorization approvals.
  • Work closely with Finance Manager to ensure all reporting is done on a timely basis. Qualifications
    • High school Diploma or GED, Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred.
    • 5+ years of property management or maintenance experience, including experience in supervising, developing, and maintaining relationships with vendors and contractors.
    • Demonstrated understanding of property management, including financial aspects.
    • Well organized with excellent time management skills.
    • Competency in MS Office and relevant software.
    • COVID-19 Vaccine Required: As of the first day of employment, you must be able to demonstrate proof that you are fully vaccinated (as defined by the CDC) against COVID-19, unless you are granted a medical or religious exemption in accordance with company policy. Work Location

      In the short term, because of COVID-related precautions implemented by NJCC, this position is required to work in the office a minimum of 3 days per week. It is incumbent that the candidate has a sufficient home workspace and reliable, consistent internet access to enable seamless participation in virtual meetings across various platforms, access to virtual files and performance of tasks. In the longer term, this position will work out of NJCC's New Brunswick office. Adherence to all health and safety requirements, including wearing a face mask in the office. This position will be required to work in the office 5 days per week once COVID-related precautions have been lifted.

      Work Schedule

      Business hours typically run between 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Some days may require working longer to meet important deadlines.
