Job SummaryAt Avantor, we are committed to moving science

results with our customers. This exciting new role within the
evolving Global Communications and Brand team, will collaborate
globally with Avantor's portfolio and commercial leaders, members
of Avantor's global communications team, and external agency
partners to oversee the strategy, development and execution of
integrated marketing communications campaigns, content and
programs. The role will also be accountable for measuring and
reporting program results on a routine basis in order to drive
optimization and visibility.Responsibility:
- Leveraging a strategic lens on communications strategies,
create and implement marketing communication plans and content that
leverage all available appropriate media including social, digital,
mobile, search and email campaigns. Ensure plans are globally
consistent yet regionally appropriate and that they are executed
within assigned budgets.
- Drive a strategic, customer-centric narrative through the
development of rich, SEO content for campaigns based on
understanding of workflow, target customers, and product
positioning.
- Articulate a clear vision and objective for integrated
marketing programs and provide ongoing strategic direction to the
in-house and external creative services team to ensure the accuracy
of content, keyword research for SEO and tonality.
- Apply knowledge of customers and products (and the combination
there of) to leverage the whole of Avantor's assets/capabilities in
effectively positioning the brand for measurable results. Infuse
the corporate story across all plans.
- Maintain an understanding of target customer segments and the
value propositions for the most strategic workflows/
products/services in the unit.
- Collaborate with Avantor's in-house agency team and external
partners to develop all marketing promotion materials in the most
efficient and effective manner. Manage work with external agencies
to coordinate marketing communication activities and projects.
Collaborate with Supplier marketing communications team on supplier
connections to campaigns.
- Develop and own the execution of global marketing content and
promotion plans including sales collateral, technical articles,
owned publications, web content and media stories among other
tactics.
- Collaborate and partner directly and cross functionally with
corporate brand teams, commercial leaders, portfolio managers and
sales leaders to develop, communicate and implement marketing
communication plans and initiatives in alignment with overall
corporate and/or regional goals.
- Define program-specific success criteria. Monitor and report
progress against pre-defined criteria for overall campaign results.
Develop actionable plans to address gaps or resistance.
- Support communication of campaigns and related programs to
commercial teams and with key
suppliers.Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA or equivalent Master's degree
preferred.
- 8 to 10 years of marketing, brand management or related agency
experience with a successful track record in planning and executing
global marketing communications campaigns.
- Experience working with life science or advanced technology
businesses/products required
- Global experience is a plus.
- Position requires a strategic communications perspective, a
business orientation, an understanding of the relevant corporate
functions or scientific area and a focus on performance.
- Strong ability to build productive relationships and lead
development of marketing communications strategies through
interactions with diverse internal and external business partners,
including company senior leadership across a variety of functions
and geographies.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communications
skills
- Proactive, highly energetic personality, ability to think
creatively.
- Experience leading cross-functional project teams;
collaborating with multiple corporate departments and outside
consultants; and managing diverse projects exceeding
deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced/high-growth environment, where
initiative, accountability, and prioritization are critical.
- Travel internationally and domestically 10-15%.#LI-AMER
