We call it "The Talent Mindset" - a company-wide commitment to attract and develop the dedicated professionals whose insights, innovation, and hard work fuel our success and make us a global leader in financial services.Prudential is seeking an inquisitive and resourceful insights professional to join the Marketing Synthesis & Insights team, focusing on discovering, generating, and synthesizing consumer, cultural and competitive insights, and market trends to identify opportunities and challenges, as well as inspire marketing strategies and ideas.The Manager should have a global perspective and be passionate about deepening our understanding of customers and utilizing various data sources and insight generation tools in determining their evolving perception, behaviors, and needs.The team is part of the broader Marketing Analytics and Insights team, within the centralized Marketing organization.Responsibilities include:

  • Complement primary research with secondary research, open-source intelligence, and alternative data to arrive at customer centric and market/contextually relevant insights that solve for the business objectives
  • Deliver snackable insights and create cohesive analyses of data sets (including through written summaries, data visualization, and multimedia content)
  • Be the voice of the customer to advance customer understanding across marketing insights, analytics, and research agendas
  • Bring an outside-in perspective by infusing an understanding of customers, macro, and competitive trends to inform decision making for our businesses
  • Keep the broader marketing community informed on relevant developments within financial services and about consumer behavior, and highlight how trends and intelligence are applicable to Prudential
  • Be on the forefront on new insight techniques and tools, and champion a customer-obsessed and data-driven culture
  • Participate and ensure expertise and insights sharing, innovation and upskillingQualifications :
    • Bachelor's degree required in business, marketing, social sciences (economics, sociology, psychology), or associated field. Advanced degree a plus (or certifications/courses in data analytics, consumer insights & analytics, behavioral economics)
    • 5+ years of overall work experience; market research, marketing competitive intelligence, consumer insights, brand insights, social media analytics, social listening, or consumer trends analysis experience strongly preferred
    • Experience with-or interest in learning-analytical tools including but not limited to: Google Trends, Quid, Netbase, Brandwatch, BuzzSumo, Semrush, Similarweb, Newswhip
    • Ability to synthesize data and information from various sources and previous/related projects and distill out meaningful insights, recommendations, and implications
    • Pragmatic problem solver who is comfortable with ambiguity and can use the right combination of data sources, tools, and frameworks for different business questions
    • Excellent writer and storyteller with a demonstrated ability to deliver findings and recommendations in a compelling and engaging way
    • A critical thinker with an inquisitive nature and a thirst for knowledge
    • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills. A collaborative team player who learns quickly and can act independently
    • Financial services industry experience a plus
    • Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and experience with leveraging open-source and alternative data to generate insights a plus
    • Experience generating insights or synthesizing research to support marketing, brand, and media teams a plus* Note: Prudential is required by Colorado law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Colorado resident.Salary range specific to Colorado: $98,000-$139,200 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
