Job Classification:Finance & Accounting - Finance & AccountingDescription:The Borrowing and Cost of Capital team is part of the Treasury organization at Prudential Financial. The team's core responsibility is to manage and execute the company's funding strategy (e.g., capital structure and funding solutions) and cost of capital, which is used to support ongoing operations and strategic initiatives across the enterprise. The team is uniquely positioned within the enterprise as the gatekeeper of key external relations.The role is one of the few roles within Treasury that gives exposure to topics from a corporate lens. This is a unique opportunity for someone to experience the development of a funding plan from start to finish. The individual will also have opportunities to lead process improvement projects and develop technology driven solutions to improve analytics. In addition, the candidate will have opportunities to collaborate with various businesses and functions across the broader Prudential community and gain exposure to senior management.The team is seeking an experienced manager who is highly motivated, resourceful, and familiar with the businesses at Prudential. The manager must have supervisory experience and should ideally have a strong corporate finance knowledge and be able to balance the theoretical aspect of corporate finance with a degree of practicality. The individual should also have the ability and/or interest to support debt capital market transactions as opportunities or initiatives arise.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the enterprise forecasting of funding plan and reporting deliverables for internal and external stakeholders
  • Partner with business unit treasury teams and other corporate functions to ensure enterprise borrowing is aligned with target leverage ratios and other balance sheet risk measures
  • Become a subject matter expert on borrowing sources and uses and provide thought leadership on related topics
  • Oversee the execution and monitoring of Prudential's share repurchase program and support other capital market initiatives as needed
  • Develop and enhance analytics of key borrowing metrics and implement dashboards to monitor borrowing activities and KPIs
  • Develop and maintain documentation around Prudential's borrowing frameworks, philosophies, and procedures
  • Manage one direct reportQualifications
    • At least 2 years of supervisory experience required
    • At least 6 years work experience in finance, accounting or treasury field; ideally, corporate finance background
    • CPA and/or CFA preferred
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Committed to continuous process improvement
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
    • Team player, but ability to be productive independently
    • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
    • Strong project management skills
