We know that truly preparing students for college and career requires an intense focus on student GPAs and ACT results, excellent college & career counseling, and strong relationships with & programming for students & their families.-- The Associate Director of College & Career Match's job is to support the KTC&C department in driving outcomes for students to support a college and career ready trajectory for our students. We expect our Associate Director to lead the KTC&C department, build a data-driven culture focused on ensuring students choose a post-secondary pathway of highest aspiration, and run high-quality and well-organized school-wide KTC&C programming. Here's what you will be doing:
    • Team Leadership & Performance Management
      • Manages team of 2 match counselors and 1 match fellow
      • Conducts weekly match team meetings which include updates on progress to goals, professional development as needed, etc.
      • Conducts observations of each teammate at least once per month to ensure high-quality counseling and provides relevant and timely feedback to help counselors improve their advising skills
      • Drives results through weekly O3s with each member of the team
      • Progress monitors Match Data weekly in team meetings and O3s and reports weekly in O3s with AP of CCP; may also report out to school on key data points as needed
      • Stays up to date with and communicate the latest trends research, and policy changes related to college access
      • Completes performance management cycle with all direct reports including BOY, MOY, and EOY evaluations and conversations as well as 2x2 mid-cycle
      • College Counseling
        • Manages caseload of no more than 20 students
        • Conducts at least 2-3 1:1 student check-ins with 12th graders on caseload per quarter
        • Ensures all 12th grade students successfully transition to college and/or the progressive post-secondary option the student chooses to pursue
        • Maintains consistent engagement and partnership with families of 12th grade students
        • Data Reporting & Management
          • Ensures that KTC&C data (application submissions, acceptances, etc.) is consistently monitored and adjustments are made quickly and effectively as needed
          • Conducts professional development and opportunities for strategic data analysis weekly in team meetings and O3s to ensure each student is on track to meet his/her match goals
          • Responds to data collection requests from the national KTC&C Match team and ensure they are being delivered in an accurate and timely manner
          • Quickly and effectively identifies and troubleshoots sync issues between databases to ensure data accuracy and work with the Foundation to resolve ongoing challenges
          • Collaborates regularly with DC of CCR to ensure alignment across teams & co-facilitates meetings with both teams at least on a quarterly basis
          • Progress monitors ACT and GPA data with Assistant Principal of College & Career Preparation weekly in O3s to ensure strong understanding of senior class needs and adjusts team support accordingly
          • Leads junior project plan and collaborates with key stakeholders on key initiatives such as college essays, volunteer support management, letter of recommendation PD, requests, and tracking, etc.
          • Leads ACT registration and serve as key KTCC point person on ACT initiatives as outlined in the College Match service level agreement
          • Progress to Graduation
            • Monitors progress to graduation of all seniors in O3s with manager (Assistant Principal of College & Career Preparation) to ensure accuracy of expected HS graduation date field in Salesforce
            • Collaborates with instructional point person regarding August graduates to ensure a strong, off-cycle transition from high school to the alumni team Qualifications Must Haves:--
              • 3-5 years' experience excelling in college access work
              • Experience managing others OR proven track record of successfully managing projects or processes while motivating others to action even when no direct reporting relationship exists
              • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
              • Experience with database management and reporting (such as Salesforce, Overgrad, etc.)
              • Strong written and oral communication skills
              • Strong interpersonal skills
              • Strong organization skills and meticulous attention to detail
              • Superb customer service skills and love and support for families and children
              • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills--
              • Adept at data analysis and strong content knowledge; ability to extract meaningful insights and actions from data
              • Commitment to do whatever it takes to ensure our teachers and students have what they need to be successful
              • Ability to build strong relationships with students and families
              • Ability to proactively problem solve; anticipate challenges before they occur
              • Ability to identify inefficiencies and generate creative solutions
              • Ability to develop and manage multiple projects simultaneously and comfortably with ambiguity
              • Ability to troubleshoot and manage high stress situations with a calm and positive demeanor
              • Ability to work evenings and weekends
              • Student Focus: Belief that all students, regardless of background, have the ability to go to and through college; demonstrated commitment to the school's unique community
