For many of our customers, we have--been the Flatbread Partner--that has--helped to create some of America's most--exciting, and delicious,--sandwiches and pizzas.In recent years we introduced Brooklyn Bred Since 1930, a retail brand for our retail products which include Pizza Crusts, Bistro Buns, Soft Bread Sticks, Focaccia and more.--With the start-up of our Clifton Bakery, we have ambitions to expand our product line to include sweet and savory baked goods, snacks, culinary offerings.We are an SQF Level 3 company--that currently employs over 300--people, some who have been with us for more than 40 years.--We are a company that thrives to "Bake a Difference and--Make a Difference" for its customers, suppliers, communities and employees.--As mentioned, for the past five consecutive years we have been named one of "New Jersey's Best Places to Work".Job Summary: As Corporate Manager of Supply Chain you would plan, coordinate and monitor the transfer from Supplier through Manufacturing all the way through Customers. This incumbent would oversee the whole process from beginning to end.Supply chains are made up of different operations, which include everything from Forecasting Trends, Planning, Procurement, Warehousing, & Logistics.The Incumbent should succeed if he meets these KPI's:* Manage Inventory Variance* Efficiently Distribute Goods thru Warehouse and to Customer* Reduce Cost of Raw Materials* Prepare and Plan Production* Meet Budget and Timeline* required for this position should include:1. Analysis Skills - identifies significant problems and opportunities.2. Organization/Planning - Plans, organizes schedules, and budgets in an efficient, productive manner. Focuses on key priorities. Effectively juggles multiple projects. Pays appropriate attention to detail.3. Process Management: Good at figuring out the processes necessary to get a job done/knows how to organize people & activities/knows how to separate and combine tasks into an efficient work flow/knows what to measure & how to measure it/can simplify complex processes & get more out of fewer resources4. Business Acumen/Functional/Technical Skills/Technical Learning: Knows how the business works/Has the functional & technical knowledge to do the job at a high level of accomplishment/Picks up technical things quickly & is good at learning new company/product knowledge- Managing: The ability to manage and take charge of employees in order to enhance their performance; defining targets and providing appropriate means; controlling progress and correcting employees.- Informing: Provides information people need in order to know how to do their jobs and to feel good about being a member of the team and the organizationEssential Functions for this position should include, but not limited to:* Routinely Review and update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.* Implement new or improved supply chain processes.* Strategically Consolidate Shipping and Warehousing* Manage Warehouse Department* Develop material costs forecasts* Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders.7) Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met8) Develop system to evaluate approved suppliers.9) Oversee stock control and processing orders* Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.* Manage forecasts and quotas to identify changes to determine their effect on supply chain activities.* Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, or to discuss production forecasts or changes.* Collaborate with other departments such as Production and Quality Assurance to identify or qualify new suppliers.* Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.* Design, Collaborate, and Implement plant warehousing strategies for production materials and finished products.16)--Ensure quality, delivery and budget objectives are met* Create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products.* Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.* Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.* Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, or receiving.* Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance.* Evaluate and select information technology solutions to improve tracking and reporting of materials & finished goods for product distribution, storage, and inventory management.* Prepare Department Budgets for Expense and PayrollRequirements:* Strong Organizational Skills* Commitment to Continuous Improvement* Very Good Communication Skills* Excellent Geographical knowledge* Very strong Computer skills specifically in Microsoft Office* College degree and/or equivalent work experience* 5-10 years of food manufacturing experience* 3-5 years warehouse experience* Available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the organizationADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:To perform all non-management job functions in the event of an emergency or when a lack of available human resources would create losses for the company.To monitor uphold and enforce company policy and standards at all times when present in the facility.* Support the management team by being present for meetings and providing insight to upper management when there are problems in the operation.
