What is the primary need, technical challenge , and/or problem you will be responsible for?
    • As a Director, Product Management, Tanzu Compliance you will drive a team that includes program managers, product managers, solution architects, technical writers, and engineers to collaboratively define and enable product strategy for meeting compliance requirements across a number of broad areas including US Federal, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, etc.
    • This highly visible role will influence and assist with product strategy and delivery across the entire Modern Applications R&D organization , and unlock critical business in the federal space and other regulated industries .
    • This team works with all Tanzu product teams to identify, prioritize, and deliver product improvements that enable customers to comply with given standard s when using applicable Tanzu products. What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
      • Establish core priorities for regulatory and compliance efforts across one of VMware's largest, most strategic and fastest growing franchises.
      • Function as the MAPBU focal point for compliance, coordinating and facilitating communication of compliance-related plans, outcomes, gaps, and priorities with teams and executivelead ers hip across VMware.
      • Oversee the d evelop ment and documentation of reference architectures that meet the requirements of the FISMA, PCI-DSS, and HITRUST compliance frameworks for the Tanzu Kubernetes Grid line of products.
      • Ensure the program has a vision and mission that identifies who the compliance program is intended to serve, what problems the compliance program's prospective customers face, and why VMware is inve sting in the business opportunity .
      • Collaborate with MAPBU stakeholders to influence and align point-- product strategies and roadmaps with the broader MAPBU compliance goals .
      • Lead the process by which the program's goals a re cascaded to all relevant s takeholders , teams and stakeholders to inform their own work. What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
        • Drive a compliance strategy that is aligned with the business imperatives of MAP-BU, understanding and prioritizing the needs of our most important business segments.
        • Meet regularly with MAPBU lead ers hip to inform on progress, identify hurdles and align on future priorities and level of investment
        • Support and direct the program's staff and personally spend time with customers, prospects, and stakeholders to ensure the gathering and synthesis of evidence required to inform the program's goals .
        • Support and direct the program's staff within their own teams and/or collectively to define, evolve and execute on a roadmap of prioritized outcomes that best achieves the program's goals .
