Job Summary Lead and direct the management and implementation of short and long term initiatives and projects designed to assure the highest levels of customer service, maximize profitability and achieve reliability, safety, performance, customer service and goals. Directs the strategy, resources and activities for a 24/7 multi-site call center operation. Job Responsibilities Lead and direct the strategy, resources and activities in the Revenue Control and SOX Department of Customer Operations. Maintain and apply knowledge of PSEG Standards and Business Controls and meet management s expectations for effective internal business and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls for the Utility. Management the aggregation and validation of Company statistics regarding billed revenue. Manage the Customer Bill Print Process and the associated vendor contract. Oversight for SAP CCS system security access to ensure compliance with Segregation of Duties. Manage the process of safeguarding of the assets of the company, based on an understanding of the field operations. Responsible for the ongoing Sarbanes Oxley 404 effort performed by the Utility Revenue Process. Responsible for compliance with the applicable regulations for the design and operation of internal controls over financial reporting for the ongoing SOX efforts performed by the Utility Revenue Process. Ensure that controls are documented, communicated and operated in compliance with all SOX regulatory requirements. Support scoping and annual control rationalization. Coordinate annual walkthroughs with Internal and External Auditors. Support internal and external audit processes related to testing of internal controls. Work with business owners to assess processes. This position is integrally involved in audit reviews and reports that are reviewed by the Board of Directors, so involves high financial and control exposure. Assist in the development and rollout of policies and procedures and work with business owners to document their processes. Maintain up to date knowledge of SOX-related regulations and interpretations from SEC, PCAOB and other regulatory bodies. Identify opportunities for improving and standardizing business processes in all key functional areas to promote efficiency and work with process owners to implement those opportunities. Manage the resolution of deficiencies in business processes to develop best practices and deployment of these practices. Support testing and integrated test procedures to ensure proper system functionality in regards to system and process Controls. Influence to Utility level scorecard results (SOX failures, etc.) and impact to audited financials, control issues, and outside independent auditing firm. Position is responsible for revenue reporting, the single largest line item in the financials. Errors can become significant financial and SOX reporting items. Responsible for delivering operational results and supporting scorecard metrics within Customer Operations, the Utility and Enterprise. Overall responsibility for the safety, health, wellness and environmental performance of the department. Provide leadership, personnel development and overall direction to create/foster teamwork atmosphere in the pursuit of Company goals and objectives. Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation skills are essential. Managers are also responsible to direct, conduct and communicate results of investigations related to BPU and Executive inquiries throughout the Utility.
