Job Description:
Interstate Waste Services, a leader in non-hazardous waste
management in the Northeast U.S., is seeking a detail-oriented
On-Road Compactor Repair Technician to join our Technical &
Maintenance department. This role focuses on maintaining and
repairing on-road waste compactor equipment. The ideal candidate
will possess a strong background in mechanical repairs and a
commitment to safety standards to ensure all equipment operates at
peak efficiency and aligns with local regulations. An excellent

and compliance. Perform routine and emergency maintenance on
on-road compactors and related equipment. Diagnose mechanical
issues and provide timely repairs to minimize downtime. Adhere to
all safety guidelines and regulations to promote a secure working
environment. Maintain records of maintenance and repairs to comply
with company and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with the
maintenance team to share insights and optimize repair strategies.
Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting during field
operations. Assist in training new technicians on proper
maintenance procedures. Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and
electrical systems repair. Ability to operate diagnostic tools to
identify and rectify faults. Strength in problem solving and
critical thinking. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
