Our Restoration & Renewal practice provide owners and managers with a home for solutions to a wide range of structural, envelope and building systems needs for existing properties of every use, age and construction type. Our multidisciplinary design and assessment services cover a wide range of needs. We perform condition assessments, investigations, feasibility studies and peer reviews. We design repairs, renovations and alterations and oversee their execution in the field.

The Role
We have an exciting opportunity in the Newark Office for a motivated and talented Structural Project Engineer for our Restoration & Renewal Practice. We are looking for a candidate with 5 years minimum experience in building envelope (fa--ade/roof) condition assessment and restoration design, structural design, structural repair, renovation, and retrofit design. Project locations include New York City, New Jersey and elsewhere.

Responsibilities

  • Condition assessment of building envelope (fa--ade/roof) systems, using suspended/pipe scaffolds or rope access, as required. Assist in the design of building envelope repairs with analysis and evaluations as required.
  • Coordination of design work with in-house staff as well as other consultants including Architects and other Engineering disciplines, Cost Consultants, and Contractors.
  • Projects will be in envelope repair, renovation, demolition and expansions of existing building structures. Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. Master's degree preferred.
    • Experience with existing buildings for condition assessment, renovation/alterations and expansions.
    • Experience with condition assessment and repair design of existing building envelope (fa--ade/roof) system. 16-hr Suspended Scaffold trained and/or SPRAT Level 1 certified preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in building facade condition assessment.
    • Professional Engineer and/or SE License preferred. Benefits
