  • Strike the right balance between lending expertise and providing an inclusive environment where others' ideas can be heard and championed; leverage expertise to grow skills in the broader Capital One team
  • Promote a culture of engineering excellence, using opportunities to reuse and innersource solutions where possible
  • Effectively communicate with and influence key stakeholders across the enterprise, at all levels of the organization
  • Operate as a trusted advisor for a specific technology, platform or capability domain, helping to shape use cases and implementation in an unified manner

You'll be able to identify and remove impediments, while successfully driving delivery for key initiatives. Building and maintaining strong relationships and earning and maintaining confidence with both customers and business leaders are critically important responsibilities for this role. - -What you will need to bring for this position: -
    • Experience developing and driving delivery of scalable and sustainable platform, tooling, and automation solutions in an enterprise environment
    • Passion and curiosity for how we can drive efficiency and economies of scale across cloud environments
    • Demonstrated ability to balance organizational risk appetite with innovation need
    • Demonstrated history of cross-discipline consensus building and influence
    • A proven track record of working across organizations to build consensus and drive progress
    • A detailed understanding of tools, trends, and patterns within the DevOps community, especially within the AWS and Cloud ecosystems
    • Clear and concise communication across all levels and technical depths - -Basic Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's Degree -
      • At least 7 years' experience in software development
      • At least 5 years' experience with cloud native technologies
      • At least 3 years of experience identifying and mitigating technology risk in a public cloud environment - -Preferred Qualifications:
        • Masters' Degree -
        • 9+ years' software development experience
