Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active
registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. A school nurse position is available for a contract
assignment in Bangor, PA, helping support student health and
wellness during the summer session. This role offers an opportunity
to provide critical preventive health services and assist students
in safely participating in school activities within a supportive
educational environment. Location: Bangor, PA Schedule: Monday
Thursday, 9:00 AM 2:00 PM Contract Duration: July 6 July 30
Setting: Onsite Responsibilities: - Assess and provide first aid
for student illnesses and injuries - Deliver preventive health
services to foster students physical, mental, emotional, and social
well-being - Educate students, parents/guardians, and staff on
health-related issues as assigned - Maintain regular communication
with students and families regarding health concerns - Implement
the school health program and ensure accurate health documentation
- Promote and support a safe, healthy school environment
Qualifications: - Licensed Professional Nurse (LPN or RN) in
Pennsylvania - Certification as an Educational Specialist by the
Pennsylvania Department of Education - Bachelor of Science in
Nursing (BSN) preferred - Current Red Cross CPR and First Aid
Instructor certifications - 3 to 5 years of nursing experience
preferred, ideally in pediatrics, school nursing, or a related
field Physical Requirements: - Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit,
reach, and effectively communicate - Capability to lift or carry
1025 pounds safely - Mobility to move independently throughout
school buildings and event locations This role offers a meaningful
