Job Description:
Rate ranges from $28.48 to $31.50 per hour, based on experience
3rd Shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Trans-Bridge Lines, Inc., a
family-run business celebrating its 84th year, is currently seeking
a full-time experienced mechanic. The company is accepting
applicants from those with a career in the industry, or those who
have been a mechanic and would like to get into the busing
industry. Trans-Bridge Lines seeks individuals who possess a
positive attitude, accepts scheduling challenges, and takes pride
in their work. Duties/Responsibilities: Perform various mechanical
repairs and maintenance on the Trans-Bridge Lines buses, support
vehicles, and company cars. Perform other duties/responsibilities
as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to read and
understand basics of shop and service manuals. Must be able to
provide own tools. Ability to follow verbal and written
instructions. Punctual to work. Understand union environment and
the need to be flexible due to seniority and business needs. Able
and willing to work 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM) to start. Shift
may vary based on seniority and business need. Education and
Experience: Must have a valid driver's license. Diesel Mechanic
experience strongly preferred. Diagnostic equipment knowledge
preferred. CDL license preferred (required for 1st and 2nd Class
Mechanic). Mobile Air Conditioning (MAC) certification preferred PA
and/or NJ State inspection license preferred Physical Requirements:
Must pass drug and alcohol screenings and DOT physical exam. Be
able to lift in excess of 75 pounds, push, and pull in excess of
100 pounds. Be able to stand, bend, squat, twist, turn and reach.
Be able to have full use of fingers and hands. Must be open to
shift work. Be able to work holidays and weekends when needed.
