Prudential's diverse and talented employees are committed to helping individual and institutional customers grow and protect their wealth through a variety of products and services, including life insurance, annuities, retirement-related services, mutual funds and investment management.Prudential Marketing has a vision to create a customer-obsessed, marketing powerhouse that is built on a culture of creativity, driven by insights, data, and analytics. - To help bring this vision to life, we are looking for a research consultant to help our business partners achieve their goals with insight and data informed decisions. - This role reports to the Vice President, Insights and Marketing Analytics, which is part of the Customer Officer within the centralized Marketing organization. -Prudential is seeking a Director of Workplace Research Consultant to join the Insights & Marketing Analytics team. -POSITION OVERVIEWMarketing Analytics & Insights is a strategic advisor to Prudential's domestic and international businesses, driving decisions that help them achieve their key performance goals and inspire forward looking innovation. - Our mission is to inform decision-making using data-driven insights grounded -in strategic business acumen and a deep understanding of macro trends, -needs and behaviors. ---Our team is fast moving, high performing, and grounded in strong research competencies with backgrounds in financial services. -In this role, the Workplace Research Consultant manages all research and insights needs for our Workplace and Group Insurance businesses. - Built on forming strong relationships, you will be expected to understand the business needs and synthesize existing research to answer important questions. - - - When knowledge gaps are identified you will need to translate those gaps into specific questions, answered through effective and efficient research programs, captured with an insightful and impactful report that helps to drive action. - As the lead consultant you must follow through to ensure that the insights are leveraged appropriately and positively impact the business. - Specific responsibilities include:ROLE DESCRIPTIONDiagnose business issue: - combine internal business acumen with external knowledge of industry and business and consumer trends to accurately diagnose underlying business issues/challenges and translate these issues into appropriate research objectives.Build strategic research agenda: - develop a 12-month view of research needs in support of business priorities. - Conceptualize and lead forward thinking market research initiatives that support the company's efforts to better serve customer's needs and provide new opportunities for business growth.Build strong relationships: earn trust of business partners and be responsive to their needs, while effectively prioritizing work to focus on maximum impact.Collaborate to drive thought leadership: - proactively surface and explore issues of strategic importance; build and maintain strong partnerships with other areas of the enterprise that produce audience insights and provide thought leadership in support of the enterprise business goals and strategy. -Inform and shape business decisions: - package and deliver insights along with pragmatic recommendations to senior Prudential stakeholders. - Influence stakeholders to act on the recommendations.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.7+ years of overall market research or consulting experience.In-depth experience with a wide array of syndicated and custom research programs, including brand, advertising & positioning studies, awareness & usage, new product and service development, and voice of the customer research.Strong business acumen with prior experience in B2B financial services preferred; specifically, insurance, retirement and/or asset management. -Outstanding influence skills and demonstrated ability to work with senior stakeholders across business lines to build confidence and inspire collaboration. -Strong communication skills and ability to work comfortably at the most senior levels of the business through clear written and verbal communications.Excellent storyteller with proven track record of delivering actionable insights succinctly, in a compelling and engaging way.Courageous leader with demonstrated ability to maintain objectivity and the willingness to "be unapologetically bold"Comfortable working in matrix environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities.Willingness and ability to travel to different internal client locations across NY, NJ and CT in the U.S.-Prudential Financial, Inc. of the United States is not affiliated with Prudential plc. which is headquartered in the United Kingdom.Prudential is a multinational financial services leader with operations in the United States, Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
