Description:
- Be a member of the quantitative analysis team within the Chief
Investment Office of a leading U.S. financial service company ($1.7
trillion AUM, providing Investment Management, Insurance, and
Retirement services)
- As a member of the quant team, you will directly support
Traders and PMs in a fast-paced environment and provide
quantitative analysis on Prudential's Asset-Liability Management
and Capital Markets Hedging activities
- Hybrid working arrangement (1-2 days a week in the office)
- H1-B sponsorship will be consideredMain Responsibilities:
- Quantitative developer role, with initial mandates focus on
implementing pricing, risk, P/L, and attribution methodology based
on the guidance from senior team members
- Research and implement interest rate, equity, credit, foreign
exchange, and inflation models used in valuation of domestic and
international products and ESG solutions across the company
- Interface with CIO's technology team to build market data and
trade databases, automate data feeds
- Support analysis and research related to implementation of
hedging strategiesQualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to independently take on quantitative
strategy and analysis initiatives
- Must have hands-on experience with Python
- Must have a functional understanding of derivative pricing
theory and practice
- Hands-on experience with Numerix SDK is desirable
- Experience with Matlab/C++/C# is a plus
- Minimum 2 years working experience in rates or equity
derivatives modeling
- Higher degree in financial engineering, mathematics, computer
science, statistics, or other quantitative fields, consideration
given to those with Bachelor's degree and strong work
experience.
- Knowledge of derivative instruments, including options, swaps,
and futures
- Familiarity with various asset classes, such as fixed income,
equities, credit, and foreign exchange
- Familiarity with variable and fixed indexed annuities
