Job Description Job Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Holtsville, New York. In this role, you will oversee critical financial processes and ensure the accuracy of accounting records. Responsibilities: • Manage month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting. • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all entries are correct and up-to-date. • Prepare and post journal entries while verifying supporting documentation. • Conduct account reconciliations to identify and resolve any discrepancies. • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between transactions and records. • Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyze financial data and generate reports. • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies in all accounting activities. • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for management review.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field. • Proficiency in month-end closing procedures and general ledger management. • Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation processes. • Experience with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. • Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
