We are committed to delivering safe, reliable service that gets customers to their destinations on time-and we're looking to hire talented folks with a commitment to excellence to make it all possible.We are currently looking for a Senior Managing Auditor to join our team!Roles and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for preparing quarterly Audit Committee materials and/or managing Integrity Oversight Monitor projects.Documents processes and controls, performs testing, and prepares audit work papers and support. Drafts audit results including any control weaknesses, financial impacts, and other issues. Manages field work in accordance with audit programs by interpreting, analyzing, and evaluating audit results. Prepares constructive audit recommendations addressing the impact on NJ Transit.Performs/supervises multiple audits simultaneously by obtaining, analyzing, evaluating, and documenting audit data. -Provides critical analysis of results of audits, including preparing final draft of audit report, determination of presentation, organization, and distribution.Coordinates the planning of integrated audits where third-party contracts and federal and state compliance are involved and provides on-the-job guidance and supervision of the audit project.Performs follow-up on prior issued audit reports to ensure audit recommendations are implemented and adequate corrective action is taken. Establishes and maintains a professional working relationship with all members of the Internal Audit Department and interacts with members of all other NJ Transit departments and outside entities in an effective, professional, and confidential manner to accomplish his/her duties.Performs other departmental related work as directed by Auditor General.Supervision Given toSupervises Auditor 1s, Senior Auditors, and Managing Auditors. -Education, Experience, and QualificationsMinimum/Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent.10 years of audit experience, including operational and/or financial audit, contract management experience, supervisory, project management, and public accounting experience. -4 years of experience as Managing Auditor in Internal Audit Department or equivalent experience required.Knowledge and SkillsEssential:Strong knowledge of GAAP, IIA Standards, GAGAS, COSO, Enterprise Risk Management, fraud awareness, audit sampling, audit techniques, process mapping and control testing.Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite, e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. -Strong oral and written communication skills.Preferred:Familiarity with Visio and TeamMate software programs.Knowledge of Federal and State Integrity Oversight Monitoring requirements.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsCPA or IIA's Certified Internal Auditor certification required.Working EnvironmentOfficeAt NJ Transit you will enjoy a competitive salary and excellent benefit package: -Comprehensive Family Health Insurance - Prescription, Dental, Vision Flexible Spending Account Life Insurance Paid Leave -3 YEAR VESTED: -Retirement Plan Options: -401(a) is a 6% employer contribution. -401(k) at least 6% -with an additional 3% company match.Tuition Assistance Qualified Transportation Expense Plan (QTE) At NJ TRANSIT we support and depend upon the diversity of our staff.
