What you'll do: The SVP Finance, Course Solutions is responsible for setting the strategy and execution of the Course Solutions financial planning organization. The scope of the role covers: Financial Planning - strategic & medium-term planning including enhanced scenario planning, target setting, annual budgeting, quarterly and monthly forecasting, resource & capital allocation processes Management reporting and analysis, which delivers impactful commercial insights to drive effective decision making and achievement of strategic, financial, and operational objectives and performance targets Financial reporting to and engagement with Course Solutions Leadership team Finance leadership of Course Solutions Finance teams and CS wide initiatives & projects In addition to the above, as a member of the finance leadership team, the SVP will support the overall program and lead workstreams to develop and transform the group wide Finance function as we continue to evolve towards a best-in-class finance organization across talent development, processes, and technology. Skills You Will Need Here: + Significant breadth & depth of finance and leadership experience, commensurate with being able to act as a designate for the CFO + CPA and / or MBA, with 10 to 15 years in progressive senior finance management roles + Finance leadership experience in operational finance roles in large and transforming market facing businesses and/or service functions with full P and working capital management responsibility + Considerable experience in FP function, with proven track record of commercial impact and functional transformation + Has worked effectively with other corporate specialist functions - finance operations, tax, treasury, investor relations, compliance, and risk management - to deliver key corporate initiatives (e.g., capital structure, tax planning, corporate structure) + Commercial impact: Track record of delivering meaningful and quantifiable business benefits and optimizing performance, through seeing opportunities and risks and working with business leaders to effectively address these. Track record of deep understanding of the underlying business drivers behind each line in the P and working capital dynamics. + Highly analytical, data driven and results oriented + Strategic problem solver: Ability to translate strategy into pragmatic operational plans and execute against them + Influence: Excellent relationship skills, combined with presence and confidence to interact with executive team and senior business management to positively impact decisions and drive improved business outcomes. + Emotional Intelligence: Self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, social skill, and the ability to apply it to work successfully in a matrix environment and company that cherishes its culture. + Change Agent: Demonstrated ability to champion and drive transformation and talent & organizational development + Shown capability to develop and lead high performance diverse teams. + Experience of implementation and development of financial systems + Communication: Strong verbal and written skills.
