Join Takeda as a Senior Manager, Operations Management where you
will support business operations activities in collaboration with
Research Area Leaders, Project Managers, and Senior Leadership
Manage and oversee central financial planning, tracking,
forecasting, and reporting. Support research planning, forecasting,
and portfolio reporting to ensure alignment and visibility to
portfolio progression in alignment with department and Research
level goals. Provide expert support for procurement, contract, and
invoice management and issue resolution Manage/support centralized
resources/activities and collaborate with Research Area and
Platform teams to ensure effective utilization of common
resources.
You will also manage/support department wide non-pipeline projects
Manage key department meetings and communication channels. Develop
and implement new operations processes to enhance depth and quality
of analysis and reporting of key portfolio and financial metrics,
as well as operational processes to increase efficiency.
Energetically engage with the entire DDU team to assure visibility
of all department goals and objectives and make critical
contributions to project operations to accelerate delivery to
performance goals. As part of the GI DDU Projects and Operations,
you will report to the Associate Director, Project and Alliance
Management and work with the Project and Alliance Management
team.
How you will contribute: Collaborate with research and
translational teams to enable/support planning and logistics,
establish/manage contracts, CRO management, data delivery, and
final disposition
Manage contracting and procurement process to enable rapid contract
drafting/review/initiation/resolution
Resolve and troubleshoot internal/external accounting and payment
issues associated with contracted work
Manage and enhance monthly financial analysis and reporting
processes in collaboration with Project Managers and Finance
colleagues
Manage key cross functional meetings including scheduling
logistics, the creation and distribution of meeting agendas,
distribute minutes, ensure completion of actions, and drive meeting
discipline to achieve meeting objectives
Ensure good meeting disciplines are continuously maintained (with
supporting documentation) so that there is a clear logical record
of events
Support and maintain financial and portfolio reporting
infrastructure - including library/repositories of data, budget and
recruitment databases, etc.
Ensure data integrity to support accurate reporting and
communications.
Support project reporting via DDU, Research, and Enterprise-wide
reporting functions including Interact, ImPact, PowerBI, etc.
Manage/support key communication process and infrastructure
including routine mass communications, department
websites/SharePoints
Ensure smooth cross-functional liaisons with critical functions for
project success (Legal, Finance, Sourcing, HR, and across all
scientific functions as necessary).
Drive continuous improvement activities for all project and
operations management processes.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (or higher)
in Science or Management related discipline
6 years experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical
industry
Understanding of methods, tools and concepts to prepare forecasts,
ad hoc analyses.
Financial planning/reporting systems experience (e.g. Cognos,
SAP).
Broad understanding of drug discovery & development practices.
Experience with CRO and/or project management skills with solid
process orientation.
